HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEAUTIFUL GIRLS! Where did the last five years go?
I fully confess to crying while pulling out a few pics from the last five years. I am grateful that I have maintained this blog over the months and years, for while their baby books are lacking, herein lies a history of smiles and growth. As I zoomed through the thousands of photos on this blog, I was continuously struck by the love that surrounds our family, and I am more grateful than you can ever know. Each of you have been a part of the smiles and the love that help Ellie and Annie to grow. I have no doubt that if you have older children, you are chuckling at my ridiculous nostalgia, but I think that what I am experiencing is pure gratitude. Gratitude for the existance of two very cool big girls and for all the love that seeps into our daily lives!!!!
Dear Annie and Ellie:
Happy Birthday! Nowhere in this world is there a mother as proud as I. As a unit, you two take on the world and share your warmth with all those who cross your path. As individuals, you rock!
Annie, your athletic prowress and your sense of humor are unmatchable. There's nothing in the world like a Nannie hug!
Ellie, your logical mind and you empathy for others is an unbeatable combination. There's nothing in the world like a Nellie kiss!
Here's to many more years of octopus hugs.
Love you more than you will ever know,
Mommy
